Ad astra!

Ad astra is a Latin phrase meaning "to the stars." And it became Planet's sort of rallying cry. This section documents just a handful of the more than 8,000 projects created in my eight years there (and still going).

Planet Labs joins NYSE

Planet Rings the Opening Bell®

In December of 2021, The New York Stock Exchange welcomed Planet (NYSE: PL). This marked a major milestone in the company's history. I was fortunate to be included in the preparations for going public, and directed various projects including the banner outside of the NYSE as well as the digital billboard on Times Square.

Digital Billboard Times Square

The listing day on the NYSE was promoted by a full takeover on the billboard in Times Square. I designed the panels and worked with an animator for the production. We did this again in 2024 as part of the launch of Planet's Insights Platform.

Planet.com

I manage a team of talented developers, designers and analysts who keeps the 180 pages of the website engaging, informative, and on-brand. It also drives leads and supports our Sales team. In my time at Planet, I've redesigned and re-built the site three times—it's never "done."

Planet Collateral System

On Day 1 at Planet, the VP of Marketing asked me to make a datasheet. "Great! Point me to the system and files," I replied. But there was neither. So that was the first order of business... to create a brand and establish a hierarchy of business materials. Oh... yeah, and a file storage system and naming convention.

Customer Testimonial Videos

Even better than telling our own story is hearing from our customers and partners. Over the past 8 years, I've directed numerous videos and worked with many  talented editors and videographers. My contributions have included storyboarding, scripting, editing, and art direction. You can see a selection of these stories on planet.com
